Frederick was born in January 1900 at 9, Montague Road and baptised on 14th January that year at St Peter’s.
He was the son of Frederick and Frances Mary (née Atkins) Norris who are buried here in plot 1023.
Little Frederick died 15 March 1901. He was joined here by his brother Gordon Gilbert (1902-3) and also an unnamed infant of his sister Thirza who had married Bertrand Bellamy.

It has not been possible to trace the dates for the birth and death of the infant buried here, but he or she would appear to be the child of Bertrand J Bellamy and his wife Thirza Victoria M (née Norris) and is commemorated here with their two infant uncles, Frederick William John Norris (1900-1) and Gordon Gilbert Atkins Norris (1902-3).
Thirza and Bertrand married in 1923 and were also the parents of Doris Thirza Bellamy (born 1923) who married Robert John Beckett. They, and their infant daughter Patricia, lie in Plot 1023 with Thirza Victoria’s parents Frederick and Frances Norris and maternal grandmother Mary Atkins
Born on the 5th of November 1902, Gordon lived in Montague Road, Berkhamsted.
His father, Frederick Norris was an ironworker journeyman and his mother’s name was Frances Mary Elizabeth Norris nee Atkins.
Little Gordon sadly passed away aged just 6 ½ months old on the 24th of May 1903.
The cause of death was epidemic, diarrhoea exhaustion, which was, unfortunately, a common cause of death at the time.
His parents, grandmother and other relatives are remembered at the grave against the wall opposite. Little Gordon shares this grave with his older brother Frederick.
